Description:
Minami Satoru who lived a normal life was stabbed by a passing ruffian, closing the curtains of the 37 years of his life……It should have been like this, at least. But he suddenly found himself not being able to see nor hear….. In this kind of state, he became aware of the truth: he had reincarnated into a slime. While complaining about becoming the weak but famous slime and enjoying the life of a slime at the same time, Minami Satoru met with the Catastrophe-level monster “Storm Dragon Verudora”, and his fate began to move. ——— After getting the name “Rimuru” from “Verudora”, and about to start a life in this new and unknown world, he was suddenly caught in a conflict between Goblins and garo (Fangwolves) tribes, and unawaringly became the ruler of the monsters….. With the ability [Predator] that can seize an opponent’s abilities and [Great Sage] that understands every rule and law of the universe—– The legend of the strongest slime with these two abilities as weapons, now begins!

    Thank you.

  2. Tcol521 says:

hate to be bearer of bad news but there is already another 2 site translating this. They are at chapter 82 already and have author permission.
The site is circustranslations.com with help of gurotranslations.blogspot.com

  3. GokubeatsSuperman says:

Circus Translations is already translating in 7 different languages. And 82 chapters in English 6 or 7 in the others so it would be a waste to translate this

  4. RandomPasserby says:

    why not co-operating with circustranslation.com & gurotranslations.blogspot.com ?

  5. FluffyMittens says:

Circus and Guro are doing the WEB NOVEL version with permission, not the LIGHT NOVEL version which is being handled here.

There are differences between the two, the Light Novel versions of webnovels are generally revised and may include some rather drastic changes to the plotline, including entirely original story arcs.

The Shield Hero LN for instance has an arc where Nao gets tossed off into Glass’ world and things happen, which doesn’t happen at all in the WN version.

  6. GokubeatsSuperman says:

Saw the message, just wanted to apologize for insensitive comments didn’t pay attention to the web novel light novel part. Keep up the translations

  7. NoTofu says:

Guys please do your research first before posting a comment :/

  11. biem says:

  12. Mathew Davi (@HellishDemonoid) says:

  13. The DCG says:

Thank you for translating! ~Diiiid you ever know that youuuur my heeeeroooo~ (off key singing commences)

In addition, if at all possible, could you let us know, here if/when it gets licensed in english? Sometimes that happens and I don’t know, then I keep being a leech even though I could buy it. But I prefer to throw money at authors I like, so if I know…

ANYhow. Thanks again for all your hard work, you guys are awesome.

    • alyschu says:

Of course! When it’s licensed, we’ll be taking down our translations and have a link to the site where the English version is sold. 🙂 At the moment, they have no plans to license this in English.

    • Anon says:

whenever I hear the word licensed in English? I just wish its not YenPress.

have you seen what they did to Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei the fan translation was literally better than the actual so called official translation and a LOT faster to boot if you want to know how long it’ll take YenPress to publish 1 just 1 volume I’m gonna tell you it takes them YEARS EFFING YEARS so here’s to hope that YenPress won’t license this.

  14. micha says:

To those who still do not understand the difference between LN and WN, you peeps should just shut up cause youre all just beggars in need of newest chapter and beggars have no privilege to say anything after all youve done is causing mayhem with your stupidity. To Clown Guro Alyschu and Ranbow thank you for your dedication and bringing us this wonderful work! • G says:

^ This guy said he is translating this series into his local language.

I hope you asked for permission to use the english translations you used for your local translations.

PS: Your translations are bad with how you use slang instead of formal form. It’s my opinion ofc.

  18. Reader says:

I was amazed to see someone translated the LN version since it’s so much richer of a story, though admittedly the pacing is less exciting.

  19. Bob-Bob says:

Guys, if you dropped this at least say it, it´s cruel to milk the visits of the readers this way…

    • alyschu says:

Hello, this project has not been dropped nor are we milking visits of readers. The head translator of this project, OverTheRanbow, is busy with life at the moment so if you wish to receive an update on the next chapter, you can subscribe to its RSS feed. Alyschu&Co’s freedom policy allows each one of its translators to be as casual as they want, especially if they are busy in real life.

  20. Sunnyjones says:

And, while I’m already commenting, I must say that it’s dearly appreciated to read a translation of this series that’s grammatically correct m(__)m

  28. AvatarofWhat says:

  29. Anonymous says:

I know it’s late and considering that this is purgatory…
Anyway, just want to convey my appreciation for your translation of the LN! I love you! There’s my 1% chance of coming out earlier than expected? Thanks for the hard work… Including the LN vs WN arguement

  33. Mahiligg says:

Is there any difference between light novel or web novel? Esp. for this one?

    • Ana says:

A web novel is published online chapter by chapter, as opposed to hardcopy. Just about every series to date that is both an LN & web novel was a web novel picked up by a publisher. That said, the LN invariably contains significant improvements on the web novel, both because the author has grown as writer over the course of the story & seen how it developed, & looks back like “Hmm, in hindsight this should’ve happened this way.” & because the publisher also supplies an editor to make recommendations on how the flow of the story could be improved.

So comparing the two, you might think of the LN as a refined product & the web novel as a rough draft.

Specifically, in Tensei Shitara the other characters (Shizue, Benimaru & Shuna for instance) have significantly expanded roles & more development, whereas in the web novel Rimuru tends to hog the spotlight a lot. There’re also a couple extra characters altogether.

  34. R says:

Are you still translating this series?
Either way, thank you for the work you’ve done so far.

  35. More LN says:

I’m guessing this is on a hiatus? Thanks anyways

  36. iStap says:

Is there a way to download it as pdf ?

    Thanks anyways for the trans.

  39. Sourav Islam says:

  40. sakihabara says:

  41. Wataterp says:

  42. Just a curious fan says:
