Chapter 25: Good People
Drinking the soup allowed a moment of pleasure, once the pleasant feeling ended, a clanking sound resounded.
The clanking sound of being poor.
Forty thousand was the last of Ai Hui’s possessions and was now all in his stomach. This also meant that there was no choice but to cut his cultivation plan short. After a few days, he wouldn’t even have money to buy food, he’ll truly starve by then.
“Loulan, do you know any ways of making money?” Ai Hui asked in somewhat distress.
“Making money?” Loulan was stunned, this was the first time he had been asked this sort of question. He couldn’t help but ask: “Ai Hui doesn’t have anymore money?”
“Yes, I spent all my money.” Ai Hui pondered as he replied: “Good thing I made fifty thousand from that blind competition last time, otherwise, I seriously would’ve starved to death.”
“Blind competition?” Loulan’s eyes brightened: “Is Ai Hui good at blind battles? Then go participate in a blind competition.”
“How could there possibly be a blind competition everyday?” Ai Hui shook his head with an inexplicable guilty conscience.
That day’s scene suddenly appeared in his mind, the sensation on his fingertips were still very clear. Ai Hui sighed, having too great of a battle instinct wasn’t that great of a thing either, he would remember details of the battle especially clearly.
He totally did not want to remember such an embarrassing situation.
“There is.” Loulan raised a finger as his eyes brightened.
Ai Hui was a bit surprised. Could it be that Shi Clan Training Hall was holding another blind competition? Possible, Ai Hui thought, blind battles were actually quite interesting, the training hall might not easily give up.
But what was this indescribable discomfort in his heart?
However, once he thought about his impending starvation, Ai Hui suddenly felt that he was being unreasonable. Whatever discomfort and embarrassment he felt immediately disappeared. He swiftly asked: “Where? Let’s go!”
No one could obstruct him from his money. If god was blocking him, he’ll kill god. If it was Buddha, he’ll kill Buddha. If it was a girl…
Heh heh, little girl, pray for your good fortune, don’t run into me again.
His drooping eyes flashed with a streak of cold light. Ai Hui’s heart was like steel, without a shadow of a doubt.
If we meet again, it’s your bad luck!
Ai Hui walked outside with his head raised and bloodlust written all over his face, like a valiant soldier heading off to battle.
Shi Xueman looked at the Interpine City below her and was somewhat lost in thought. She had already come to this little city, that she had never cared to remember the name of, many times before. As long as she had a vacation, she would come here. Her greatest setback, greatest bitter defeat in her entire life had happened here.
She would never forget that in her entire life!
Yes, would never forget it in her entire life. She gritted her teeth.
Thinking to here, she then thought about her blind battle strategy and didn’t know how it had been carried out. She was looking forward to this plan. Even though she felt that she was not properly prepared for it, that her current strength might guarantee that she would defeat that terrifying enemy. However, she hoped that she could find some clues, and know who that bastard was.
Maybe she’ll get good news today?
She was a bit expectant, it had been said that the training hall had specially implemented a lot of special rules to this blind competition. Since her opponent was such an expert in blind battles, how could he not be moved when seeing this sort of variety in a blind competition? She felt that if it were she herself, she definitely could not resist participating.
As long as I find any clues, you’re dead meat!
A chilly killing intent flashed past Shi Xueman’s frosty face.
The Flame Floating Cloud slowly landed in the courtyard, Uncle Yong Zheng was already waiting since a long time ago. She hopped off the Flame Floating Cloud and said: “I’ve troubled Uncle Yong Zheng. Has our blind competition plan made any progress?”
Yong Zheng had on an odd expression.
Shi Xueman knew that something had happened after seeing Yong Zheng’s expression. She quickly asked: “What’s the situation?”
Yong Zheng smiled wryly: “My lady, you’ll find out if you go and take a look.”
Hearing that, Shi Xueman did not say anything further as she immediately exited the training hall.
Ai Hui followed behind Loulan with somewhat amazement: “Loulan, I didn’t know that you were familiar with this area!”
Loulan explained: “I have to buy groceries, buy wine, and buy ingredients. I’m the one who buys everything Master Shao needs.”
Ai Hui always felt that Loulan’s owner, Master Shao, was very mysterious. This was the first time he had seen an earth elementalist create a sand golem like Loulan. He couldn’t help but ask curiously: “Does he not go out at all?”
Loulan said: “Master Shao’s legs are not good, and he doesn’t like going out anyway. Master Shao doesn’t really like meeting people, or else he’ll invite Ai Hui in.”
It was just now that Ai Hui realized why Loulan was an expert in only skills for livelihood. The Induction Ground was not dangerous, and added to the fact that his legs were not good, he obviously needed someone to help out with his everyday life.
Ai Hui suddenly stopped in his tracks. He stared blankly at the street in front of him.
“It’s finally the blind competition! Reward money is exceedingly high! The ultimate competition for experts, no light, no smell, no color, no shadow!”
“Masked Blind Competition! Five hundred thousand’s waiting for you!”
“Human Golem Blind Frenzy! Entirely different blind competition, entirely different challenge!”
……
A swaying multi-colored long banner dazzled Ai Hui. A banner about a blind competition hung in outside nearly every training hall. He was dumbstruck. What the heck was this?
As if he understood Ai Hui’s puzzlement, Loulan explained on the side: “I think it was two weeks ago. Shi Clan Training Hall hosted a blind competition with an award money of one million yuan. At that time, it caused a commotion, and many people came to participate. The other training halls quickly started copying them. Nearly every family’s training hall started hosting blind competitions. And now the latest trend in Interpine City are challenge matches. When I went to buy groceries the day before yesterday, I’ve even heard people say that blind competitions have not only become popular in Interpine City. Blind competitions have also begun to appear in other cities, so awesome, it had even spread past Interpine City…”
Loulan said eagerly, as though it was a great honor.
Ai Hui, who had regained his senses, immediately grew excited! He looked toward those training halls with bright eyes, as though he was a hungry wolf eyeing a tasty little lamb, ah, no! A flock!
In the last blind competition, he had noticed that the other contestants didn’t seem to be accustomed to blind battles. Under a situation like a blind competition, his battle strength could be fully displayed. As for the other contestants, theirs had suffered, which greatly lowered his interest.
This was a battlefield naturally suited for him!
Ai Hui grinned, revealing his snow white teeth, as if he was sharpening his sword for battle.
He firmly decided to participate in every training hall’s blind competition, aside from Shi Clan Training Hall’s!
Thank you, Shi Clan Training Hall! You’re truly good people!
He shot a glance at Shi Clan Training Hall and looked at a young woman surrounded by a crowd in front of Shi Clan Training Hall. The young woman was also like him, completely dumbfounded at the streets filled with blind competition banners. After a while, the young woman’s face ashened, as cold frost spread across her entire face. Even Ai Hui, who was very far away felt her fury.
Whoa whoa whoa, that expression… is too entertaining!
As if perceiving Ai Hui’s delightful gaze that rejoiced in her misfortune, the young woman turned her head to glare at him, then angrily burst into Shi Clan Training Hall.
Ai Hui felt that this world was brimming with hope. He quickly ignited his fighting spirit. His purse had been hungry and thirsty for a long time!
“Loulan, let’s begin!”
Loulan stared in blankly: “Begin what?”
“Making money!”
As if he was bringing along real combative spirit, Ai Hui charged into the first training hall with majestic steps.
Thanks for all the chapters
Lol, Ai Hui and Loulan going stream roll through all the blind competition! 😀
Thank you!
Muahaha! There is some money to make so naturally Ai hui takes whatever he can. Thanks for the chapter. Good read
Well he won the last one because no one else had experience with blind battles, but now everyone else in the city has been doing them, so his advantage has actually shrunk.
Thanks for the Chapter!
Yes!! More boobie grabbing. Love this!
Guess he missed the jackpot of troubles.
Much thanks.
Oh there’s you missed something Alyschu.
Ai Hui always felt that (Ai Hui’s) should be Loulan’s owner, Master Shao, was very mysterious. This was the first time he had seen an earth elementalist create a sand golem like Loulan. He couldn’t help but ask curiously: “Does he not go out at all?”
fixed LOL thanks
thanks for chapter
This is genius comedy LOL. Seems like all MC’s (Zuo Mo, Tang Tian, and now Ai Hui) by this author are money grubbers AND I FREAKING LOVE IT. Meng Hao can relate to their financial struggles while Bai Xiaochun can relate to Ai Hui’s struggle with misunderstandings HAHA.
