Chapter 124: Perceiving space
It seemed like she was currently back in that place that was filled with stars. The countless stars kept twinkling at her. Sometimes they seemed close, but sometimes they appeared far away.
At this moment, little specks of light flashed past her; they were breathtaking. Those little specks of light danced around her, slowly drifting away to blend in with the ones further away.
Her feelings were suddenly overwhelming. Space; distance… she felt as if they were all in the palm of her hand.
A single bit from the Array Foundation Book suddenly popped up in her mind.
“Space can be near and far, it can be intangible and yet you can touch it. Every part of space has its own contrasting way of connection. Once you find it and understand it, you can grasp it and control it…”
She felt as if she had just accomplished the step of “finding it”. Feng Zhi Xing had said before that once she accomplished this point, she could be said to have entered the gates of becoming an Array Master.
Once she had this thought, the space that she was in immediately left and the feeling that she had was completely gone.
She opened her eyes and found that she was still in her own bedroom without a trace of that so-called space.
“You perceived it?” Mo Sha saw her state just now and knew that she must definitely have had some sort of progress and asked.
Sima You Yue nodded. Seeing the way this guy was seated so lazy with one leg bent and an arm rested above it with his hand supporting his head, he clearly wasn’t cultivating. She asked, “Why aren’t you cultivating?”
“I’m pretty much done.” Mo Sha waved his sleeve.
“Really? Then let’s go and refine pills now.” Sima You Yue said as she stood up.
“You sure that you don’t need to recollect the feelings you had just now as you perceived space?” Mo Sha said.
Sima You Yeu was shocked. How did this guy know?
“I’ve already waited for you for so many days and I’m not urgently pressed for time. However, this is something that you can only stumble upon but cannot seek.” Mo Sha was someone who was experienced and knew that these kinds of chances were so miniscule.
Sima You Yue felt the same way. There was no need to rush for the pills at this time. She nodded and sat down afresh, saying, “Alright then, let’s not refine pills tonight. Let’s talk about it tomorrow.”
Mo Sha saw that she had closed her eyes once again and remained silent again, continuing to stare at her.
Her somewhat young face already revealed the epitome of beauty that would cause the downfall of cities. However, because she had on her hand a ring that gave her the appearance of a male, it muted her breathtaking beauty.
Thinking about how she had managed to learn the Imperial Beast Arts even under circumstances where there was nobody to teach her, had become a second ranked Alchemist even with less than a year’s time and even quickly managed to gain a perception of space even though becoming an Array Master was the most difficult of all. This kind of genius really caused his heart to be deeply moved.
“This little guy’s talent is really not worse than mine in the past…”
Sima You Yue kept thinking about how she had seen the space just now, and slowly recalled the feeling that she had at that time. Very slowly, she found the characteristic of space.
On the morning of the second day, Sima You Yue let Fatty Qu help her ask for leave before closing herself in her room to begin refining pills.
Inside the Spirit Pearl, Sima You yue and Mo Sha came to the Pill Refinement room. The room was already prepared with pill ingredients to refine the Hundred Revolutions Pill and there were even two bottles of pills to recover their Spiritual Qi.
“Let us begin.” Sima You yue said to Mo Sha.
Mo Sha nodded. He walked beside the Pill Furnace and with a single thought, a black flame was sent beneath the Pill Furnace. It was chaotic and very quickly engulfed the bottom of the furnace.
Sima You Yue definitely would not let go of this opportunity to learn, so she diligently watched his every move. She realised that she would always reap a different benefit every time she watched Mo Sha refine pills. It was of extreme benefit to her pill refinement.
After their experience of working together, they already had a tacit understanding of each other. At the very last moment of binding the pill, without Mo Sha needing to say anything, with a single glance, she knew that it was her turn to step up. She drew nearer to the pill furnace and shot her Spiritual Qi into the Pill Furnace.
After eating pills twice, Sima You Yue finally finished her first wave of input of power. She stood somewhat weakly to the side and watched as Mo Sha completed the final steps.
After quite a long time had passed, Mo Sha finished refining the pills and retrieved his fire.
“Done?” Sima You Yue asked.
“Mm. We’ll rest for a day and continue the second batch tomorrow.” Mo Sha nodded as he said.
Sima You Yue saw that his mental powers were not bad and knew that, because she did not have enough Spiritual Qi, he pushed their refining to the next day. She nodded her head and agreed, “Okay.”
With a flash, Mo Sha disappeared. She walked beside the Pill Furnace and opened the cover. She took out her jade bottle to prepare to keep those pills inside, but when she saw the pills inside, she was completely shocked.
Ten pills!
At the moment that she had poured in her Spiritual Qi, there was a moment that she did not combine it properly and thought that this would influence the success rate of number of pills. She never thought that he would actually be able to save it and give them a harvest of ten pills!
“That’s amazing. I wonder what rank he was in his previous life.”
She kept her pills and let Little Spirit hold on to it as she left to her cultivation room to recover her Spiritual Qi.
When afternoon came, she only left her room when she heard a knock on her door.
“Fatty Qu? Is there something wrong?”
“That… Master Feng wants you to go and look for him. Looks like it’s something urgent.” Fatty Qu said.
“I got it.” Sima You Yue came out and closed the door behind her.
She didn’t attend class today, so could this be the reason why he had sent for her?
However, that’s shouldn’t be the reason because she had often skipped classes before but he had never said anything.
When she came to Feng Zhi Xing’s office, she knocked lightly on the door before pushing it open to enter.
“Master, did you look for me?”
Feng Zhi Xing looked at Sima You Yue, saying, “I initially planned to wait until you ended class before looking for you, however, since you didn’t come to class today, I had no choice but to call for you.”
“Master, are you leaving?” Sima You Yue looked at Feng Zhi Xing in surprised. This piece of news came too suddenly and didn’t give herself time to prepare at all.
“Mm. Something has arisen in my clan and they have notified for me to return immediately.” Feng Zhi Xing nodded and said, “Because the news is too urgent, I have to leave immediately.”
“What could it be that’s so urgent?” Sima You Yue asked.
“It has to do with the Sage Pavilion. It requires me to go back to settle it.” Feng Zhi Xing said.
Sage Pavilion? Does it have to do with Wu Lingyu and the others?
Seeing Feng Zhi Xing’s expression, it seemed like it wasn’t anything good.
However, in their previous fight, it didn’t seem like something she could meddle in right now. If they were really going to battle it out, she would only end up utterly defeated.
“Then when is Master going to leave?” Sima You Yue asked somewhat reluctantly.
Thinking that he had always been taking such good care of her for such a long period of time and guiding her, it was only because he suddenly said he wanted to leave that she realised apart from the people from the Sima Clan, she had already taken him to be someone close to her heart.
“After telling you this, I’ll give my greetings to the principal before leaving.” Feng Zhi Xing said.
“So quick?!”
“Mm. The situation over there is rather urgent.”
“Then will Master be returning?”
“I’m thinking that after I finish settling the things, you will already have left the Dong Chen Kingdom.” Feng Zhi Xing smiled, “If I don’t return, you will also come to the Ancient Continent to look for me. I believe that someone with your talent will go over there really quickly.”
“Ancient Continent…”
That was the place where he lived. Was it also the place where her own parents lived?
