Chapter 15: There is Soup to Repair Elemental Energy

Ai Hui opened his eyes groggily. His entire body ached from head to toe, making him hiss out a flat breath of air.

“You’re awake?”

Loulan entered while pushing open the door with a bowl of steaming soup in hand. They were still quite a distance away, but Ai Hui still could smell the alluring fragrance. His stomach immediately growled in defeat as even drool started to quickly overflow. Ai Hui forcefully swallowed his saliva: “What time is it now?”

“Eight in the morning.” Loulan handed over the soup.

Ai Hui couldn’t bother to care about the ache. He took the soup, and wolfed it down ravenously. It was truly the human world’s delicacy!

He asked ambiguously: “What time did we finish yesterday?”

It didn’t take very long last night for his consciousness to become hazy. He had no idea what had happened afterwards.

“Five in the morning.” Loulan answered.

Five…

Ai Hui’s movements were sluggish, and he couldn’t move his facial expression. He finally knew why his entire body ached, and why there wasn’t a place anywhere on his body that did not ache with a heart-piercing pain, all the way up to his fingertips. His cheeks throbbed, yet he still said with a bit of disbelief: “You’ve been continuously beating me up until five in the morning?”

Thinking about how he was probably violently beaten like a sandbag after losing conscious, Ai Hui’s entire person suddenly felt unwell.

“I’m really sorry.” Loulan’s tone of voice became more apologetic: “Even though Ai Hui did not say to stop, Loulan had to go prepare Master Shao’s breakfast at five o’clock, and couldn’t help but stop the training. Loulan has already completely finished today’s daytime chores, and can now continue to assist in Ai Hui’s training. Are we going to start now?

Did he mean he was really sorry that he only beat him up until five…

Ai Hui shook his head firmly: “No need!”

Last night’s painful tragedy was still vivid in his mind, Ai Hui simply could not raise his courage.

Ai Hui noticed Loulan’s somewhat saddened mood and lightly sighed: “This soup is quite tasty.”

Ai Hui couldn’t tell what kind of soup he had drank, he only felt that it was extremely delicious, the most delicious soup he had ever tasted. And after drinking it, a warm current scattered to every corner of his body, making his entire body comfortably warm.

The praised Loulan’s mood suddenly rose by quite a lot: “Ai Hui, your training of the body puts too great of a burden on yourself. Your body needs to be timely replenished and nourished, otherwise, it’s very easy to be weakened so much that an internal injury would take form.

“Loulan’s really smart!” Ai Hui couldn’t help but praise: “No wonder I feel like my body became so warm, it’s as if I drank a small Elemental Opening Soup. That’s an elemental cuisine, you see.”

Loulan’s voice rose slightly: “This is an Elemental Repairing Soup.”

“Elemental Repairing Soup? An elemental cuisine?” Ai Hui was stunned for a moment, the cost of an elemental cuisine was far more expensive than any other food stuffs. The school also offered elemental cuisines, but one still had to pay the dining hall a hefty sum. Even though the price there is a bit more cheaper than those from outside, it was still not low.

An ominous premonition rose in Ai Hui’s heart: “The soup’s ingredients…”

“I found them from Ai Hui’s cloth bag.” Loulan said righteously: “Even though they were all bits and pieces of them, they were of good quality, and were extraordinarily suited for making soup with. Even though it wasn’t made from a standard recipe, rest assured, the utilization rate ought to be higher than seventy percent.”

It was as if Ai Hui had taken a staggering blow, his expression became wooden: “How… How much did you use?”

“All of it. Don’t worry, Loulan guaranteed that he didn’t waste any of it.” Loulan reassured.

He totally did not want to hear such a guarantee…

Bang. Ai Hui directly fell on top of the bed with a heart full of despair. The materials he had saved up for a whole three years were gone just like this. His flesh hurt, it hurt unbearably! After taking a nap, he discovered that the pitiful scraps he scrimped and saved in the box for three years had all been used. Even the toughest part of the flesh hurting Ai Hui’s heart trembled all over.

If Ai Hui understood what a seventy percent elemental energy utilization rate represented…

Loulan reminded: “Ai Hui, it’s best if you train now, and properly absorb elemental energy.”

Ai Hui quivered. Right, since they’ve all been used, even if his flesh hurted more, it wouldn’t do anything. He crawled out of bed with gritted teeth. Even if he had to sweat blood, he was not allowed to waste even a sliver of elemental power.

In accordance to the method Master Dong taught in the Introductory Course, Ai Hui sat cross-legged. Focusing his mind and steadying his heart, he guided that sliver of elemental energy within his body towards the path of channeling through his five palaces and eight halls.

For the so-called eight halls, the four most easiest to open halls were the halls of the four limbs; Left Hand Hall, Right Hand Hall, Left Foot Hall, Right Foot Hall. The area from the space between the brows to the end of one’s tailbone was separated into the Heaven, Gate, Sea, and Earth Hall. These four halls were many times more difficult to open than the four limb halls.

However, regardless of whether the natal palace or the eight halls have been opened, the route in which elemental energy was channeled would never steer away from the five palace eight hall domain. It was just that every family’s order in pathing was different. The effects of those with different pathing were totally different, which thus formed many different kinds of cultivation methods. Added to the fact that each of the eight halls were profound, they were exceptionally focused upon. Each family would choose one among them to study long term, and over time, the accumulation crystallized, gradually becoming each family’s closed secret.

The path in which Ai Hui selected was the safest, most simplest route: first, completely circle around the four limb halls, then carry on downwards from the space between his brows and run through Heaven to Earth.

Once he started channeling elemental energy, Ai Hui felt like it wasn’t the same as usual.

Just as his elemental energy circulated towards the Left Hand Hall, his elemental strength strengthened by many times. He had never encountered such a situation before, and everywhere within his body was active, warm elemental energy. His own body felt light, alive, and was full of vigor. Channeling his elemental energy was effortless, smooth, and easy, a change from the heavy sluggish obstruction he typically faced.

But very quickly, Ai Hui couldn’t bother to be excited about it, because he discovered that the elemental energy within his body was gradually dispersing outwards.

His body’s affinity with elemental energy was still too low.

He didn’t dare to be distracted anymore. Every second of circulating elemental energy counted, he had to give it his complete attention! With gritted teeth!

Can’t waste it!

Just thinking about all how he had exchanged everything he possessed for this elemental energy, it was as if Ai Hui had been injected with chicken blood. His concentration heightened. Like a plains horse running wildly, his circulation rate had reached an unprecedented high.

Seeing Ai Hui’s determination, Loulan quietly withdrew from the room.

Time trinkled by, and a layer of thin silver radiance emitted from the cross-legged Ai Hui. If one were to get closer, they would see that this silver radiance was formed by silver colored strands of light. These minute strands of light were precisely the dispersing elemental energy.

Even if Ai Hui did his utmost, a large amount of elemental energy still had dispersed into the air.

Following the core cultivation method’s circulation, Ai Hui gradually gained some insight. The most elemental energy within his body was the silver colored elemental energy, which was of course the elemental energy scattered by the impacted silver metal wind strands. It was different from the silver metal wind strands that were sharp and condensed. After being been scattered, they had become fine, and had become much more gentler, like fireflies hovering in his body.

Their present free floating state was also the elemental energy quickly dispersing outwards.

As for the other kind of elemental energy, it was far more stabilized. They had already intimately connected with his flesh, every time Ai Hui circulated his elemental energy, he would always absorb a large amount of this elemental energy. What was even more important was that it would bind a large majority of the drifting metal energy, and merge it within Ai Hui’s own elemental energy.

This kind of elemental energy was probably the elemental energy within the Elemental Repairing Soup.

Ai Hui finally understood why so many people would enter deep into the Savage Territories to hunt savage beasts.

Most of the free metal energy had mostly already dispersed, but Ai Hui still did not stop the core technique’s circulation, and still continued to patiently circulate elemental energy.

A faint wisp of aura emitted from Ai Hui’s body.
