On one hand, he might be doing the Su Wan routine again, pretending to be nice and get ready to CRUSH her ego when the bitch actively goes after Su Luo.
On the other hand, if Su Luo is the one decides to break the ice first and repeat all his claim over her, he’ll have her…’approval’ for going forward with marrying her.
What he didn’t expect would be that Su Luo have her trauma from past life that makes her rather…submissive in this regard, so rather than the bitch invoking her competitive spirit (like with the Liu family, her own family or the clown prince), it’s invoking that deep dark trauma of hers.

I just read the comments and feel like hitting NL and he is behaving like Loulou thought he will when the Witch (I won’t call her Fairy it is all an insult for the real fairies out there) will be near him. One thing that irritates me to no end is IF NL doesn’t wish to marry the Jade fairy, why the heck is he not saying anything besides the fact that it was said that he refused the engagement? Silence gives her a lot of power to say he is not against their union as well.
If he isn’t going to properly stand up for SL, I would rather she run him in circles for a few more chapters.

I felt like the reason why NL is ignoring SL a bit is because he doesn’t want SL to be on jade’s palace ‘s bad side for now since she still can’t protect herself from the likes of them.. Remember how NL told her to not let anyone know about her skills? Because he’s afraid that she can’t protect her even if he’s strong. He’s strong but not enough. He still needs to cultivate himself to protect SL. =]
