Chapter 265 – Romance in Prince Jin’s Manor (1)
Each and every one of them kept quiet out of fear in front of Nangong Liuyun. They were even afraid to breathe out loud, simply trembling and shivering as if having caught sight of Yama, the king of hell.
Su Luo was somewhat bewildered, although Nangong Liuyun, this person, despised following convention sometimes, and acted like a hooligan other times, why would the servants be scared of him this much?

His jet-black, silky, soft hair flowed down, carrying a kind of refined, wild and rashness manner that was the ultimate in attractiveness. His face which was slanted to the side was perfection, like an ancient Greek sculpture of an exquisite god, flirtatious and threatening.
Hearing a noise, he unhurriedly turned his head. A pair of black eyes full of smiles looked at Su Luo.
His smile was as gorgeous and dazzling as the blooming cherry blossoms in March.
At this time, Su Luo only felt her own heart skip a beat, a kind of unprecedented exotic feeling made her chest area closest to her heart become limp and numb. Her pulse started to speed up and was hard to control.

While he was speaking, he used his slender finger to caress her fair and tender cheeks which were like water.
“Speak properly, don’t get fresh with me.” Su Luo threw him an annoyed glance.
Nangong Liuyun’s eyebrow rose slightly, his glance was deep, flirtatious and moving: “We can talk on one hand while touching each other on the other hand, it doesn’t hinder anything. Little Luo Luo, what are you being so bashful about?”
Su Luo only felt that surrounding her body was a male smell that was distinctively his. The breath she inhaled into her lungs all had his smell. Her face was slightly red, she pushed him away with one shove. Her face became serious and firm as she said: “Nangong Liuyun, don’t change the subject. I want to ask you, since you forced me to remain behind, where should I sleep tonight?”
A touch of doubt flashed through his beautiful eyes, afterwards, as if it was right and expected, he said: “Foolish Luo Luo, do you really need to ask this question? Naturally, you would be sleeping here.”
Su Luo felt her breath being stifled in her throat, and her eyes started to narrow dangerously. She glared at Nangong Liuyun, saying and emphasizing each word: “What. Did. You. Just. Say?”
Nangong Liuyun fluidly and gracefully moved to pour two cups of amber-colored red wine, with his eyes drooping down, he leisurely swirled the wine.
“Nangong Liuyun, clearly tell it to me!” Su Luo was a little flustered and exasperated as she let out a snort. She was forced by circumstances to remain behind. However, this did not mean she would sleep in the same room with him!
Nangong Liuyun’s drooping eyebrow rose slightly. His serene and flowing eyes secretly stared at Su Luo. The corner of his mouth, little by little, stretched into a smile that was seductive and moving. It was also as noble as the gods.
“Humph! Not going to tell me clearly huh? Then I will leave right now.” Su Luo, panting with rage, turned around and was just about to leave.
However, she had barely passed by Nangong Liuyun’s side before her arm was pulled to a stop by him.
Nangong Liuyun raised his head, his sexy throat moved, in one mouthful, he swallowed the amber-colored red wine.
When he was drinking the wine, his pair of deep black eyes was continuously giving off a burning light that was motionlessly fixed on Su Luo.

Only her spirit enters her space, she has to be conscious of where her physical body will be.
yes. it seems that other space mages could vanish into their space but she cannot. (wasn’t that mentioned before? I remember she was very annoyed about it.) perhaps she will be able to one day.
Because then she could escape Nangong Liuyun and any of her enemies whenever she felt like it and the author would have a really hard time making threatening scenarios
haha..i think either..if she cant thro herself in her space..then wont it better to throw that prince jin to her space to keep him quiet..hahaha
I thought she used to be an assassin? So shouldn’t she be experienced in seduction, blackmail, and threatening others? In stead, she’s becoming dumber and dumber every chapter….
This is like the exact opposite of Stunning Edge,… there, the main char possesses a dumb man chasing idiot, then becomes powerful and dazzling to others. Here, an intelligent, powerful woman possesses a dead fish and becomes a dumb man chasing idiot…
Even the heroine in Descent of the Phoenix is so much better… Almost exactly the same situation, but instead of acting like a 12 yr old with her 1st crush,… she seduces the guy, takes the reins on that relationship, then refuses to give him to anyone else.
Can’t wait for this dumb arc to end already…

Haven’t read stunning edge. She may be an assassin but most of her skills are not useful in this world. She is essentially starting over. Also she hasn’t given in yet, she is still reserved due to past betrayal. Yes the author spend too much time being verbose about descriptions which I hate even more as a translator. All I can say the main character sounds like a real person maybe experiencing a first crush that increases as they help each other.
As for comparing to Descent of the Phoenix in terms of romance::::: Descent of the Phoenix romance is equivalent to a one night stand where you get a wham bam thank you ma’am. Demonic king chases his wife is a more detailed real life romance where interaction, give and take, fights, make ups etc… are all seen in one story. The lasting kind of romance where they grow old together 🙂
She was an assassin not a god holy cow bro and she clearly doesn’t mind as much as she claims. Not everyone wishes to run the relationship. Plus you guys want her to attack like an assassin 24/7 well she won’t because she isn’t a assassin she is weak and young
The one thing I don’t like when she’s dealing with the prince, her quick witted suddenly vanished out of thin air change into huff and puff getting irritated reaction.
Where is her quick witted cunning reaction that she displayed when dealing with Liu Chengfeng or the other girls?

I wish everyone in a relationship could be as rational then we wouldn’t have so many broken relationships. I think it is more natural that we tend to be more blind to the people we are attracted to then to people we are unfamiliar with…It is harder to be harsh to people you love then people you don’t know.

Am I showing my age by mentioning that amazing coca cola ad? I think people just wanted a one dimensional main character… either the person is strong or weak but never both. Probably why ATG and similar novels are well like even when the guy has a harem and yes the females in those harem are also stereotypes. I like Su Luo because she is not just one type of personality she is human with her own weakness.

Sorry to hear that… I think its partially due to the story being so slow. Although if the main characters don’t go through the trials of fire then when they get together it just doesn’t seem real. Reading through these chapters made me appreciated the later chapters and their strong relationship bonds later. (unfortunately it will be many chapters later 🙁
Will she learn from the medicine books she tooks from the cave?

I personally like novel with crafting/pill refining stuff, too bad there arent that many out there that have these as the main theme.
She is cultivating first to built strength. She will get a reason to practice Apothecary after these Romance in Prince Jin’s manor arc. In this world she just need to be strong so being an Apothecary is not one of her top priorities.

Thank you for the chapter. I enjoyed their bantering. Though, I think the author use to many words to describe Nangong Liuyun’s every single move. I also understand why Su Luo seems so ‘weak’ in front of Nangong, since she has a crush for him.
And, man’s throat is definitely a sexy thing, even though many women like me, see that the brain is most important.
I like both DOP and DKC but, DOP is so boring lately… And they dont explain well how the girl powered up and become the great general. dKC and wife is outrageous kinda similar, in the female MC tries hard to become strong in their own but the guy keep chasing, teasing, and play lovey dovey to them.
Also, I’ve been wondering, is there any possibility one of these (DKC, DOP, or wife is outrageous) will got its movie, like startling by each steps (bu bu jin xin)? My mom reads bu bu jin xin in her newspaper then I tell her these series and she said they are tottaly different. Aww, wish that I could read chinese as well -____-

I can’t read Chinese but I understand Chinese just fine. So I just use a machine translator to read the Chinese to me to translate. I found this translation site for Bu bu jin xin http://bubujingxinenglish.blogspot.com/2011/03/bu-bu-jing-xin-chapter-1.html through google. I’m not a fan because I don’t like Chinese tragic stories. I do like the classics such as Dream of the Red Chamber and my favorite Journey to the West.

I personally didn’t mind Su Luo first crush-like story when dealing with Nangong Liuyun. The only thing I found annoying is the description. We all know what Nangong Liuyun looks like in all of his majestic, intense, etc looks … but the damn author just kept repeating it and repeat it again and again and again and again GODDAMNIT

Sometimes descriptions of Nangong Liuyun make me think of a lizard–especially the throat thing. Maybe it is the dragon connection. I think there is some dragon thing that is why they are meant for each other. I just wish she could explain to him that he isn’t winning points by being overbearing.
