Really don’t want to do this but the story has recently been somewhat annoying. This is some particularly bad writing from the author, since I really like the story until the point Chen Ning separated from that loser. The issue here is that ED’s reasoning is that ML needs a capable woman to be the Empress, but blind people can tell that those three stooges aren’t suitable and are far inferior compared to CN and ED already knows that CN has capabilities because she cured her poison, yet somehow she keeps saying that CN is not capable, only a pretty face, blablabla. It is as if the author forgot CN cured her poison, or somehow missed out on her disposition that literally silenced the audience during the feast. Moreover, she is looking down on her own son whom she personally pushed towards the throne because he is the only one who is capable of handling the throne, yet can’t trust him in terms of finding his own wife? ED is acting in an unrealistic fashion for the sake of making obstacles in the story. It is frustrating, especially since other characters are written in a realistic fashion.
agree with you, the ED should know the personality of those three “talents” are nothing but suited for the Empress. Also, the bloody separation thing was annoying as heck. Such weak reasoning is able to override all the murder and poisoning charges?! in what a ridiculous world is that? If that jerk did not want to be intimate with the person he does not love, then at least let the person live in peace, no need to try and kill her. the Emperor and the ED needs to wake up and see that things are upside down in their world. heck, CN alrdy saved the ED once with her medical knowledge!
