I don’t get why people are hating on him so much. He did slap her and thats a fact. In my view, he is trying his best to fix it and make it up for her. He is repenting and obviously, in love eith his wife and spoils her too. I like SLZ. If others just can’t stsnd him, they should just read something else. Its annoying sometimes when I read such hate comments. Just being honest. I love this story and the two MCs
I’m not a fan of the male lead. However, I am growing to like him as I see him evolve in a direction I like. He, so far, has become more gentle, respectful, listening and open towards Xiao Qi, which I think many others see and value as well. Also, there’s a pretty good chance that many really like the main character, Xiao Qi, and therefore continue the story.
I like the novel because it is showing the difficulties of building a relationship between two people that have come together by contract. One is loving and the other is career building.Each of them is evolving emotionally.He is growing to see that she is more than a tool and she doesn’t mind that but is planning for her escape. Let’s see how the King gets involved in their love affair,and how SLZ will respond to his competition
