   The guy does not seem to recognise animals beyond fish and chicken, which is a bit silly. The time waster was entertaining, but having said that the story really does not make any sense >.> Perhaps I am missing any reference?

   The thing you are missing is a Polish legend on which this movie is based. He call it chicken because this legend is using older version of Basilisk, which is a half-chicken half-snake.
