Chapter 210

Although everyone sympathized with Baili Hongzhuang, nobody dared to step out and help. That scoundrel was simply too strong for them to do anything.

Baili Hongzhuang’s lips curved into a cold smile, shouting indifferently, “3!”

Seeing Baili Hongzhuang begin to count down, Huang Zhiqing and his cronies’ faces turned a little bit ugly.

This woman clearly wasn’t giving them any face at all!

“2!”

“1!”

“Scram!”

Baili Hongzhuang’s voice turned cold as her eyes began to cover with frost.

Hearing her voice, for some inexplicable reason, they all felt their hearts turn with terror.

Huang Zhiqing was somewhat astonished. The way this woman acted was truly different from the others!

But, this was his, Huang Zhiqing’s territory!

He grabbed Baili Hongzhuang’s hands, a shameless smile playing on his face, “I won’t go, so why don’t you hug me instead?”

“You’re courting death!”

Baili Hongzhuang gripped Huang Zhiqing’s wrist, spirit force surging through her body, attacking like lightning!

The thing she hated most were hoodlums that did nothing but harass others for a living.

From the crowd’s faces, she knew that this definitely wasn’t the first time a girl almost fell into his evil schemes!

“Ka cha!”

A sharp, crisp sound echoed. Huang Zhiqing’s hand had been directly chopped off by Baili Hongzhuang!

Blood dripped on the floor, followed instantly by Huang Zhiqing’s scream like a dead pig’s.

“Ah!!” Huang Zhiqing looked at Baili Hongzhuang terrified. He hadn’t expected for this woman to act so ruthlessly. This was the first time he ever had such a grave injury!

“Save me!”

The four men finally reacted, charging at Baili Hongzhuang!

Baili Hongzhuang kicked Huang Zhiqing aside, her figure moving to meet the 4 men!

The four were only at Mysterious Earth initial stage. Although it was somewhat powerful against ordinary people, it was nothing in front of a cultivator like Baili Hongzhuang!

Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!

The sounds of punches and kicks were followed by blood-curling screams. The 5 men were thrown into a pile by Baili Hongzhuang, looking just like a human pyramid.

He was now struggling like a turtle, no longer showing any of his former arrogance.

Everybody was stupefied.

Until now, they were all forced to act as accomplices to the tiger. Their suffering was terribly hard to bear but there wasn’t anything else they could do.

Nobody had expected for this delicate girl that looked as if she didn’t even have enough strength to truss a chicken, to beat Huang Zhiqing and his men to the point where they couldn’t even fight back!

“Get lost!”

Baili Hongzhuang shouted coldly. Killing these scum would only dirty her hands!

Hearing her order, Huang Zhiqing and his men looked as if their lives had been saved, immediately crawling up and running away.

They glanced one last time at Baili Hongzhuang as they ran away, making sure that she wasn’t chasing after them. Their terror of her was already to the extreme.

“So weak and wanting to take advantage of Master, hmph! How brazen!” Little Black cursed angrily.

Little White curled its lips, “This kind of guy can only bully others, just ignore him.”

Baili Hongzhuang slowly smiled. These kind of people weren’t something she needed to care about.

Suddenly, an aunty approached Baili Hongzhuang and warned her, “Miss, Huang Zhiqing has a very strong person behind him. Now that you’ve beaten him, that person won’t let you off! You have to leave quickly!”

The rest of the crowd all nodded, “Miss, leave quickly! No matter what, you mustn’t stay here!”

Hearing this, Baili Hongzhuang wasn’t the least bit surprised.

For a weakling like Huang Zhiqing to dare to harass girls in broad day light, he must’ve had a strong background or family behind him. Otherwise, nobody would want to be just pushed around.

I like WW as it is the site that first introduce me to Chinese novels amongst other reasons

    • Reading Demon says:

      Same.

    • Aisara says:

Sane. WW got my respect due to it was the one that introduce me to wuxia/xianxia. And i like Ren, Deathblade, and all the books as much as i like moon’s bunny. I maybe still mad towards QI, lol

    • Kiki says:

yeah but… Ren just literally dragged NU into this for no reason at all, and now there’s a whole bunch of people going crazy and hating NU, saying that NU should be banned, making threats, saying that they’re taking bribes… sigh.

      • joellyanne says:

It is not WW is dragging NU into this. It is just the fans of WW because just like me they are fed up with Qidian making life difficult for WW so then why not make life difficult for Qidian. Besides if you think hard enough Qidian does not own the novels and nor did they the ones who want Chinese novels to be spread to the world. It is the International fans and Chinese people who lives out of China. Now that the world taking noticed with Chinese novels and authors they want to manipulate and wants to control the market and behaved like a typical corrupt communist in China and wants to control the readers and fans out of China. I for one don’t want to be control by them nor going to tolerate their behaviour. Remember we are not in China nor part of corrupt communism etc.

        • Aisara says:

To me, QI is like a dog biting the hand of his feeder. If WW and other freelance translators doesnt translated at the first place QI will not be so popular it can be a money grubber. Nobody hate NU, it is just they hate QI for being in it since QI is still free. Like someone said, let QI start their paywall they will sent themselves out from NU’s doors.

        • Kiki says:

um… i kind of get it, but i still hold my own opinions over this matter.

though… you do know that I, and almost all translators including RWX are chinese? And a part of that ‘typical corrupt communist’ country? Sorry if im reading too much into it, but it urked me a little 🙁

          • Som says:

I’m pretty sure the person who commented on the corruption is also Chinese, living outside China. Many translators are, indeed Chinese, but many are not – and many who are do not live in China. Once you are no longer a Chinese citizen, the laws of China do not apply to you, unless you return to China for any reason.
Intellectual property rights originate with the author/publisher according to their contracts within the country of origin; outside of the country of origin, IP laws may differ, and enforcement is almost universally spotty. That said, if the original IP rights holders wish to make money in other countries, they may work within those countries laws to sell or rent the rights, or publish on their own (again, depending upon the laws of the other countries). This is how authors and publishers remain employed.

As to the QI thing. They apparently hold the rights to the novels they host, and which they want others to stop posting. As the rights holders, they may determine the terms under which anyone else may publish their intellectual property. Nobody else is required to accept those terms. People operating in countries other than wherever QI has legal standing may possibly be allowed to do as they wish with any IP not already officially “owned” within their country, depending upon their countries’ laws. The international agreements tend to frown upon infringement of someone else’s copyright, even outside their country, but almost nobody outside of country of origin (and other countries where said originator holds copyright) cares about use as long as nobody made money off the use. Any bootleg translators self-publishing within a country in which the rights are already established to belong to someone else is operating contrary to the law, and better had watch out for themselves.

As to communism – in general it is a lovely idea in practice, but as with all other forms of power, someone inevitably gets greedy and devious, and people intentionally or unwittingly will eventually aid the greedy in gaining greater power, and then the structure is corrupted. Communism works better without actual people. To be fair, so does every other form of power and resource sharing. As it goes, China is not actually communally run, and thus not actually communist. There is a group of most influential people who hail from a very small portion of the people, who do not share power, money, or opportunity, on through generations now, and the hording of those things specifically is what most non-Chinese people refer to as corruption. As I said, this happens with almost all forms of power sharing (mainly governments), and leads to the need for massive reforms, or the eventual revolutions, as seen throughout history.

Minor apologies for the mini-lecture, but I don’t imagine people are quite understanding the facts, nor each others’ point of view, and I thought it might help to lessen some of the tensions.

  7. admiralen says:

Ye let him go, that way he can keep on raping women and tormenting the poor
Youre such a nice person Hongzhuang

    • Som says:

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. She is busy, so punishing the insult is all she does? Killing him would have been as easy as maiming.

      • Leyira says:

I agree with you. Why let them live? They are obviously terrorizing the town. And while it isn’t her business per se, if she went that far, she might as well kill them so they don’t take anyone else. Plot will tell us why they lived. 🙂

  8. Barbara says:

    Thanks!!!!

  9. Leyira says:

Is there a point where comments disappear? Many chapters seem like the top/first comments are coming from the middle of some other conversation, or answering a question that I didn’t see. I stopped hitting “next chapter” and went to the original posts to see if that’s where I’m missing things, but it doesn’t seem to be the case. So to all the comments that aren’t about the chapter… where are you getting started?
